B1 Medical, Invibio Create Development Partnership for New PEEK-OPTIMA System

B1 Medical, a developer of innovative medical devices for orthopedics, has partnered with Invibio Biomaterial Solutions, a worldwide provider of implantable biomaterials to the surgical and medical device markets, to provide scientific support on B1’s development of a novel PEEK-OPTIMA polymer suture anchor and new PEEK-OPTIMA based replacement small joint, according to a B1 news release.

B1’s suture anchor system will be used as the basis for the new PEEK-OPTIMA anchor, and PEEK-OPTIMA material will also be used for the new replacement small joint, according to the release. Invibio will provide comprehensive resource and technical expertise to speed up time to market for the new medical device designs, according to the release.
