Australian Government Warns of LMT Surgical’s Arthroplasty Device Safety

LMT Surgical issued an Australian hazard alert for its PyroTitan humeral resurfacing arthroplasty device.

The device has the potential to break after being implanted and cause the need for revision surgery. Breakage has occurred in devices less than a year after implantation due to high impact activities or sudden trauma.
