Aurora Spine’s DEXA-C technology has been used in more than 1,500 cervical spine surgeries, according to a June 16 news release.

DEXA technology is designed to match a patient’s bone density across the entire BMD continuum. Aurora Spine also plans to launch DEXA-L, an anterior lumbar interbody fusion implant built on the same platform as DEXA-C, in the fourth quarter.

“With over 1,500 successful surgeries behind us, the data is clear: this technology improves outcomes,” Trent Northcutt, president and CEO of Aurora Spine, said in the release. “And now, we’re ready to take it even further as we build out our sales efforts for this platform technology and prepare launch for our second DEXA Technology-enabled product.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
