Aurora Spine reports highest Q1 revenue

Aurora Spine posted its highest first-quarter revenue in its history, according to financial results released by the devicemaker May 24.

Four things to know:

1. The company’s $3.55 million in revenue is a 57 percent jump from the first quarter of 2021.

2. Sales of its SiLO sacroiliac joint fusion device grew 26 percent over the fourth quarter of 2021. Its Zip device saw a 78.9 percent year-over-year increase in sales.

3. The company’s Dexa-C cervical implant was released on a limited basis and accounted for 7.9 percent of first-quarter sales.

4. “These results really demonstrate the strategy implemented over the past couple of years of focusing on proprietary products that help patients and doctors alleviate back pain in a minimally invasive manner,” CEO Trent Northcutt said in a news release.
