Ascendx Spine Receives FDA Clearance for Vertebral Augmentation System

Ascendx Spine announced it received FDA 510(k) clearance for its Acu-Cut Vertebral Augmentation System for treating vertebral compression fractures.

The new system is designed as an alternative solution for vertebral compression fracture surgery to vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty. The system’s uni-pedicular vertebral augmentation system creates a cavity for precise cement placement.
