Amedica/US Spine to Emerge in European Reconstructive Surgery Market

Amedica/US Spine, A Salt Lake City-based spinal device company, recently submitted a design dossier to the British Standards Institution requesting permission to distribute its total hip ceramic femoral head technology in Europe, according to a company news release.

When approved, the company will market its ceramic femoral heads for use with OMNIlife Science’s Apex Hip System, under a distribution agreement between the two companies. Amedica’s ceramic heads will articulate on OMNIlife Science’s gamma cross-linked polyethylene acetabular components.
