AMA Approves CPT Code Application for AxiaLIF Spinal Procedure

TranS1 recently announced the American Medical Association’s CPT Panel has voted to approve an application for Category 1 CPT code for L5-S1 spinal fusion using the company’s pre-sacral interbody fusion approach and AxiaLIF implant.

The new code will go into effect Jan. 1, 2013. The change comes after research was published in peer-review clinical journals supporting the procedure’s effectiveness.
