Alphatec Spine Reports 2Q Revenue of $48.2M, Down 5.2%

Alphatec Spine has announced second quarter net revenues of $48.2 million, a 5.2 percent decrease compared to the same quarter last year.

U.S. net revenues for the second quarter were $32.9 million, compared to $34.5 million reported for the second quarter of 2011 and $32.6 million reported for the first quarter of 2012. U.S. net revenues were driven by strong sales of the company’s new anterior cervical plate, Trestle Luxe, and biologics products.

In addition, the company reported gross profit and gross profit margin for the second quarter of 2012 were $30.2 million and 62.6 percent, respectively, compared to $29.9 million and 58.7 percent, respectively, for the second quarter of 2011.
