Here are six recent partnerships and acquisitions between medical device companies.

Raleigh, N.C.-based TranS1 completed its acquisition of Baxano, a medical device company that manufacturers the iO-Flex system for spinal decompression surgery.

Blue Belt Technologies developed an implant partnership with DJO Surgical to use Blue Belt’s NavioPFS orthopedic planning system with DJO’s EPIK Unicompartmental Knee System.

San Diego-based NuVasive acquired ANC, a spine implant manufacturer based in Dayton, Ohio.

Zimmer Holdings acquired the business assets of West Chester, Pa.-based Knee Creations, the developer of a proprietary joint preservation treatment Subchondroplasty.

London-based Smith & Nephew will acquire Adler Mediequip Private Limited, including the assets and brands of Sushrut Surgicals Private Limited, an Indian developer of orthopedic trauma products.

Stryker’s orthopedics division entered an agreement with OrthoSensor to co-market Stryker’s Triathlon Knee System and OrthoSensor’s VERASENSE instrument system.
