1. Smith & Nephew named Mr. Baker CFO in November 2016. He officially began serving the position in March 2017.

2. Prior to joining smith & Nephew, Mr. Baker served as CFO of generic pharmaceuticals company Alvogen.

3. Mr. Baker spent 20 years at AstraZeneca. At the company, he served as vice president of finance and CFO of North America, vice president of global financial services and vice president of finance and international.

4. Mr. Baker has extensive knowledge in emerging markets.

5. He earned his master of arts degree in economics from Cambridge, England-based Cambridge University. Mr. Baker is also a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser.
