5 things to know about K2M CEO Eric Major

Eric Major co-founded K2M and now serves as CEO. Here are five things to know about him.

1. In 2004, Mr. Major was elected to serve as a member of K2M’s board of directors. He serves on the board of directors of the Medical Device Manufacturers Association and on the board of trustees of the Westmoreland Davis Memorial Foundation.

 

2. Prior to developing K2M, Mr. Major co-founded and served as president and CEO of American OsteoMedix Corp., a minimally invasive spinal device company that was later acquired by Interpore Cross International.

 

3. After AOM, Mr. Major went on to serve as the president of Interpore Cross International’s minimally invasive division, now known as Zimmer Biomet.

 

4. Mr. Major spent time working at Acromed Spine — now Johnson & Johnson — and Synthes Spine, serving in sales, marketing and product development.

 

5. With more than 20 years of experience in the spine industry, Mr. Major is a member of the AdvaMed CEO Advisory Council.
