5 notes on Bone Biologics’ new chief medical advisor Dr. Scott Boden

Bone Biologics, a regenerative medicine company, appointed Scott D. Boden, MD, as chief medical advisor.

Here are five notes:

 

1. Dr. Boden serves as the director of the Emory Orthopaedics & Spine Center and vice chair of orthopedic surgery at Emory Healthcare, both based in Atlanta.

 

2. He is also the CMO/chief quality officer of the Emory University Orthopaedics & Spine Hospital and the physician director of strategy at Emory Healthcare.

 

3. He is co-editor of Seminars in Spine Surgery and serves as a deputy editor of Spine.  

 

4. His research achievements include discovering the four families of osteoinductive small molecules as well as safety/toxicity and efficacy profiling, among other discoveries.

 

5. Dr. Boden most recently served as president of the American Orthopaedic Association.
