5 key notes on FH Ortho’s newly FDA approved CALCAnail System

FH Ortho received approval from the FDA to market its CALCAnail System.

Here are five key notes:

 

1. The system is designed to treat calcaneus fractures and subtalar arthrodesis.

 

2. The system uses a nail and cannulated screws.

 

3. It has been used in Europe since August 2011.

 

4. FH Ortho products are focused on joint reconstruction, ligament repair, biologics as well as foot and ankle, spine, and trauma surgery.

 

5. This is the second device from the company that has been approved by the FDA this year. In March, its Arrow Long Keel Shoulder Glenoid Base was cleared for use.
