4 medtech notes: ZimVie, Orthofix and more

Here are four key updates from spine and orthopedic medtech companies since March 27.

1. Orthofix named Beau Standish as its chief enabling technologies officer. 

2. Miach Orthopaedics, which is behind the Bridge-Enhanced ACL restoration implant, raised $20 million in series B financing.

3. NovApproach Spine recently completed its first case using its OneLIF interbody spinal fusion system with a patient positioned laterally.

4. ZimVie closed on the sale of its spine business to global investment firm H.I.G. Capital. The spine business will now operate as Highridge Medical, based in Westminster, Colo.
