4 medtech notes: Alphatec, Smith+Nephew and more

Here are four key developments from spine and orthopedic devicemakers since Feb. 21.

1. Alphatec posted full year revenue of $482 million, up 37% from 2022. 

2. Medtech company Smith+Nephew surpassed $5 billion in 2023 revenue. Fourth-quarter revenue was $1.46 billion in 2023, a 6.8% increase year over year. Full-year revenue also increased in 2023, reaching $5.55 billion after recording $5.22 billion in 2022.

3. Spine devicemaker SI-Bone saw $138.9 million in revenue in 2023. Full-year sales rose 31% compared to 2022, and fourth quarter sales of $38.9 million represent a 22% year-over-year increase.

4. Aclarion, a company focused on spine pain diagnostics, listed a $3 million public offering.
