3 recent spine surgery firsts

Here are three spine surgery debuts in January:

1. Life Spine’s ARx spinal fixation system was debuted. The system is designed for degenerative and complex spinal pathologies.

2. The first cases with the Mariner deformity pedicle screw system, from Orthofix and SeaSpine’s combined company, were completed.

3. Daniel Choi, MD, an orthopedic spine surgeon at Patchogue, N.Y.-based Spine Medicine & Surgery of Long Island, completed the first dualPortal endoscopic spinal surgery on Long Island.
