Northwell Health’s double neural bypass technology, also designed for spinal cord injury patients, was included. Chad Bouton invented the technology at the Northwell Health Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research in Manhasset, N.Y. It consists of microchips implanted to a patient’s brain to connect thoughts to hand and arm movement.
