Figur8’s sensor fusion system combining inertial measurement system and surface mechanomyography received a category III CPT code. The system was designed to accurately assess muscle function and health. It’s the AMA’s first recognition for digital physical examinations as a procedure.

PainTEQ’s LinQ sacroiliac joint stabilization system earned an upgraded Category I billing code. The system is used for posterior sacroiliac joint fusion. The upgrade from category III coding affirms its clinical efficacy and makes it easier to secure coverage and reimbursement.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
