The technology helps surgeons plan and complete cranial surgeries with image-based tools, according to a news release. The cranial guidance system tracks brain biopsy and shunt placement instruments, and it has automatic, algorithmic processing.
Currently, its in the Early Product Surveillance stage and will be used at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.
