Cheyenne (Wyo.) Regional Medical Center has added the CORI Surgical System for robotic knee replacements.

The system can provide quicker recoveries, faster return of function, earlier discharge and wider implant options, according to a recent news release from the center.

The CORI system utilizes the implant portfolio from Smith+Nephew.

According to the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, knee replacement surgeries are projected to increase 180% in the U.S. by 2030.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
