WVU Medicine Reynolds Memorial Hospital reaches 100 robotic knee replacement cases

West Virginia University Medicine Reynolds Memorial Hospital in Glen Dale marked 100 surgeries with the Rosa total knee robot, The Intelligencer reported March 14.

Michael Scheel, MD, and Michael Myers, DO, are trained to use the robot, which helps with surgical planning. Dr. Myers said in the report that the tool helps him “measure twice, cut once.”

The robot also helps the surgeons get patients home sooner with less postoperative pain.
