1. Zimmer Biomet saw $1.89 billion in net sales in the first quarter of 2024, a 3.2% increase from the year prior.

2. The company’s net earnings for the first quarter of 2024 hit $172.4 million.

3. Zimmer Biomet’s restructuring program, which included a 3% reduction in staff, has been implemented with no major disruptions, CEO Ivan Tornos said.

4. ZimVie, Zimmer Biomet’s spine and dental spinoff, closed on the sale of its spine business to global investment firm H.I.G. Capital. The spine business now operates as Highridge Medical, based in Westminster, Colo.

5. Zimmer Biomet earned FDA clearance for the Rosa Shoulder robot.
