Four highlights:
1. The Spine Center of Excellence adopted the Mazor X Stealth Edition, which provides computerized surgical planning, 3D spine anatomy assessment, robotic guidance and live navigation feedback.
2. Founder Kornelis Poelstra, MD, PhD, completed 700 robotic-assisted spine surgery cases at SHHEC as of March.
3. Dr. Poelstra has placed more than 6,000 pedicle screws using robotics since 2014.
4. Dr. Poelstra performs an average of 60 cases per month, ranging from lumbar reconstructive fusions to disc replacements and decompressions.
