The Surgical Robotics Institute at SMC features four da Vinci Xi Surgical Systems. Developed by Intuitive Surgical, da Vinci Xi features robotic arms, surgical instruments and an endoscopic camera. It offers high quality 3D views of the surgical area.
The Institute also featured Medtronic’s Mazor X Stealth Edition, which offers 3D surgical planning, robotic guidance and intraoperative navigation for spinal procedures.
The facility uses robotic devices for minimally invasive procedures of the spine, head, neck and urologic among others.
