Resurgens Orthopaedics’ Austell, Ga., location has become the first practice in the region to offer robotic assisted total knee replacements using Smith + Nephew’s CORI Surgical System.
Richard Boe, MD, began offering the procedure at East West Surgery Center, according to a Sept. 11 press release.
Robotic knee replacements allow for less blood loss, quicker recovery times and more surgical precision. Now, patients in the region won’t have to travel as far to access the technology, according to the news release.
