The co-founder and president of Neuralink, a brain tech company owned by Elon Musk, has stepped down.

Albuquerque, N.M.-based Lovelace Medical Center and Westside Hospital have acquired a robot for hip and knee replacements, and surgeons are loving it, according to local news outlet KOB4.

Kevin Rudder, MD, an orthopedic surgeon who recently joined Magnolia (Ark.) Regional Medical Center, had requested that the hospital purchase a robot to assist with hip and knee surgeries,  according to Magnoliareporter.com.

Palms West Hospital in Loxahatchee, Fla., has bolstered its robotics program by adding Smith+Nephew's Cori system, South Florida Hospital News reported April 15.

Brian Silvia, MD, PhD, completed his 1,500th robot-assisted joint replacement surgery, the Telegraph Herald reported April 13.

Topeka, Kan.-based Stormont Vail Health and its orthopedic center, Cotton O'Neil Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, added Zimmer Biomet's Rosa robotic system, WIBW reported April 11.

Derry, N.H.-based Parkland Medical Center and Christian Klare, MD, have acquired Globus Medical's ExcelsiusGPS system, according to a LinkedIn post. 

Singing River Health System in Ocean Springs, Miss., has been designated a robotic surgery Center of Excellence by Surgical Review Corp., the Mississippi Business Journal reported April 8.
