Neurosurgeon completes 1st robotic-assisted tumor biopsy in Colorado

A Colorado neurosurgeon recently completed the first tumor biopsy in the state using Globus Medical’s ExcelsiusGPS Cranial Solutions technology.

The procedure was completed by Gurvinder Kaur, MD, at Centura Health Physician Group Penrose Neurosciences in Colorado Springs.

Dr. Kaur collected eight biopsies through a 3.2mm burr hole and had a diagnosis within 20 minutes, according to a June 9 LinkedIn post.
