Jace Bullard, MD, an orthopedic surgeon specialist at Benefis, performed the first surgery using the system.

The robot uses optical trackers and cameras to allow knee surgeons to increase incision accuracy and precision. Rosa also provides data during the surgery to allow for adjustments in real time if necessary, the report said.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
