Currently, the Mercy surgery staff performs 3,000 joint replacements a year. The Velys system will aid in the layout and positioning of knee replacements.
It will allow surgeons to operate on patients with more accuracy. Mercy has also entered into a partnership with Velys’ creator, Johnson & Johnson, to track outcomes and patient experience.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
