Medtronic adds inaugural chief technology and innovation officer

Medtech company Medtronic has appointed Ken Washington, PhD, as its inaugural chief technology and innovation officer.

Dr. Washington will lead technology development and execution across robotics, consumer products, automotive and space. He will also become a member of the Medtronic executive committee. 

Dr. Washington joins Medtronic from Amazon, where he served as vice president and general manager of consumer robotics, according to a June 1 press release.
