The global market for computer-assisted orthopedic surgery will grow at a steady rate of 5.5 percent over the next decade, according to a survey by market research firm Fact.MR.

The projected growth is driven partly by a higher prevalence of arthritis, back pain and other musculoskeletal conditions, as well as aging populations in developed countries.

Among the key restraints identified by Fact.MR is a decline in hospital traffic due to fears of COVID-19 infection.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
