Neurosurgeon Edward Burkhardt, MD, is trained to use the systems, which are designed for increased precision, less radiation and quicker recovery times for spine patients, according to an Oct. 28 news release.

“With robotic technology, we’re increasing accuracy for placement of spinal implants like screws and rods, enhancing success rates and reducing risk for complications,” Dr. Burkhardt said in the release.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
