Illinois hospital adds robotic knee replacements

Memorial Hospital in Carthage, Ill., added the Mako robot for hip and knee replacement.

Drake White, MD, is trained to use the robot for total and partial knee replacement and total hip replacements, the hospital said in a March 18 news release. 

The robot also uses 3D CT-based surgical planning tools and AccuStop haptic technology to enable personalized procedures.
