Neurosurgeon Michael Fromke, MD, led Miami-based HCA Florida Kendall Hospital’s first robot-assisted transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion.
The surgery was done at the L4 to L5 level with the hospital’s newly added robot for spinal and cranial procedures, according to an Aug. 4 news release published in South Florida Hospital News.
Dr, Fromke joined the hospital in July.
