Dr. Timothy Walker performs 1,000th robotic-assisted joint replacement

Timothy Walker, MD, recently completed his 1,000th robotic-assisted joint replacement using Stryker Mako SmartRobotics technology.

The robotic surgery system uses 3D CT-based planning software for improved preoperative planning. 

Dr. Walker is an orthopedic surgeon with Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Orthopedic Institute, specializing in hip and knee procedures. 

The practice announced the surgical milestone in a Feb. 16 LinkedIn post.
