Dr. Matthew Hefner reaches 100th surgery with spine robot

Matthew Hefner, MD, of Bossier City, La.-based WK Precision Neurosurgery, performed his 100th surgery with the ExcelsiusGPS robot.

Dr. Hefner began using the robot in July 2023, according to an Aug. 2 announcement in the Bossier Press-Tribune. He is the first in the region to use the technology.

The ExcelsiusGPS robot has a robotic arm that helps with minimally invasive spine surgery.
