Dr. Jon Edgington performs 1st Stryker knee replacements in region

Joint specialist Jon Edgington, MD, has performed the first two hinged knee replacements in the region using Stryker’s Mako robot at Orthopedic Specialists of Northwest Indiana in Munster, according to a Dec. 15 email sent to Becker’s.

Dr. Edgington is an orthopedic surgery specialist with the Community Care Network in Hobart and Valparaiso, Ind. 

The Stryker robot is designed to give patients faster recovery times as well as reduce blood loss and complications, according to the company.
