Dr. Brian Blackwood completes 5,000 Mako joint replacements

Orthopedic surgeon Brian Blackwood, MD, has completed 5,000 robotic-assisted joint replacements using Stryker’s Mako robot. 

Dr. Blackwood, a surgeon at Boulder, Colo.-based BoulderCentre for Orthopedics & Spine, completed the procedure on April 30, according to a May 8 press release sent to Becker’s. 

He is affiliated with Boulder Surgery Center, Boulder Community Health and AdventHealth

Avista.
