Delaware hospital launches robotic spine surgery: 3 details

Dover, Del.-based Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus installed Globus Medical’s ExcelciusGPS robotic guidance and navigation system for spine surgery, reports Sussex Countian.

1. ExcelciusGPS was developed to enhance patient safety and precision with the potential for smaller incisions, less scarring, shorter hospital stays and quicker recovery times.

2. The device fuses a robotic arm and full navigation abilities into one system for precise alignment surgery.
