Coastal Orthopedics completes 1,000th robotic knee replacement

Bradenton, Fla.-based Coastal Orthopedics reached its 1,000th robot-assisted knee replacement since adding Stryker’s Mako robot in 2021.

The robot has 3D image-based planning, AccuStop haptic technology and data analytics to support surgeons before and during surgery. Coastal Orthopedics was the first practice in its region to add the technology, according to an Oct. 29 news release shared with Becker’s.

Coastal Orthopedics was founded in 1973 and has 17 orthopedic specialists.
