California hospital 1 of 5 to install 4 joint replacement robots from Stryker

Rancho Mirage, Calif.-based Eisenhower Health added it’s fourth Mako robot, something only four other hospitals have done.

Along with being one of five hospitals nationwide to reach this milestone, Eisenhower Health is the first in Riverside County to add its fourth Mako, according to a July 22 news release.

Stryker’s Mako SmartRobotics is used for total and partial knee and hip replacements. Stryker recently shared data showing how one Colorado surgeon has outperformed his peers using the Mako robot.
