Archbold Orthopedics adds Mako robot

Thomasville, Ga.-based Archbold Orthopedics has added a Mako robot for hip and knee replacements, according to a Jan. 28 report from the Thomasville Times-Enterprise.

The Mako robot allows for the integration of 3D modeling and robotic arm technology during joint replacement surgery to achieve more predictable procedures and faster recovery. 

Archbold Orthopedics is a new Archbold Medical Group specialty practice. Robotic surgeries at Archbold will be performed by Nicholas Richardson, MD.
