The unicompartmental knee arthroplasty application is designed for medial and lateral procedures, according to a news release. It is compatible with the Sigma HP unicondylar knee system with the reusable Intuition instruments. The Velys robot will help surgeons with implant placement without a CT scan.
The Velys robot has been cleared for total knee replacements in 20 markets and has been used in more than 55,000 procedures.
