3 practices adding surgical robots

Three practices have recently added orthopedic surgery robots from Johnson & Johnson, Smith+Nephew and Stryker.

Three details:

1. Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, Minn., added Johnson & Johnson’s Velys robot for joint replacements.

2. Minneapolis-based Allina Health added Smith+Nephew’s CORI Surgical System at the Mercy Hospital Unity Campus Joint Replacement Center in Fridley, Minn. It is the health system’s third orthopedic robot.

3. Sailsbury, Md.-based Peninsula Orthopaedic Associates added Stryker’s Mako robot for joint replacements.
