Zimmer Biomet’s G7 TM Acetabular System, an implant for primary and revision hip replacement surgeries, has received FDA 510(k) clearance.
The system combines trabecular metal technology, an anatomically derived screw hole pattern and rim fix screws, according to a Feb. 5 news release from Zimmer Biomet shared with Becker’s.
In addition, the system is compatible with G7 liners including dual mobility and freedom constrained.
With the clearance, the company will initialize U.S. commercialization of the G7 system, the release said.
