Sacramento-based Shriners Children’s Northern California will open its first off-campus extension clinic March 19, bringing pediatric orthopedic and sports medicine services to families in Folsom, Calif., and El Dorado Hills, Calif., according to a Feb. 26 Folsom Times report.

The clinic will operate two days a week and serve as an outpatient extension of Shriners’ flagship Sacramento hospital. It will provide care for both new and existing patients, aiming to reduce travel time for families in the area.

The site is situated across from Dignity Health’s Mercy Hospital of Folsom and will be staffed by the same specialists who treat patients at the main campus.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
