On March 13, MultiCare’s Orthopedics Northwest clinic in Yakima, Wash., was forced to close due to an incident of vandalism.

One week later, on March 20, the practice officially reopened, according to a same-day report from the Yakima Herald-Republic.

The facility faced a power outage “due to vandalism to a critical piece of power equipment,” its website read.

No further details have been released regarding suspected perpetrators of the incident.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
