MultiCare’s Orthopedics Northwest clinic in Yakima, Wash., is temporarily closed following “a catastrophic power failure.”

The power outage occurred on the morning of March 13 following an alleged act of “vandalism” to a “critical” piece of the system’s power equipment, according to a notice posted on the practice’s website.

The incident led to a complete power shutdown, but no injuries have been reported. There is no timeline for when power will be restored.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
