What you should know:
1. Also known as e-visits, telemedicine appointments allow patients to video chat with providers using a smartphone or computer.
2. Seven e-visit providers from Foot & Ankle Surgical Associates will be available to remotely assess patients, communicate health information, answer questions and guide patients through certain healthcare services.
3. E-visits are intended for patients who don’t require in-person testing or examination, as well as those who have difficulty visiting one of the practice’s six locations in Washington.
4. Eliminating patients’ commutes, time off work and interference with childcare, telemedicine offers a more convenient way to hold follow-up appointments and keeps patients out of waiting rooms during cold and flu season.
