University of Rochester opens orthopedic center in mall

The University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medicine Center for Orthopaedics and Physical Performance opened for outpatient services at The Marketplace Mall, Rochester Business Journal reported Dec. 5.

The $227 million facility is one of the largest ambulatory orthopedic campuses in the U.S. and the largest offsite project for the University of Rochester, the report said.

The orthopedic center focuses on patient experience, patient safety, efficiency and cost, UR’s orthopedics chair Paul Rubery, MD, said in the report.
